Re: Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming Review

As long as they don't require us to buy new cards to take advantage of it, that would be great.
I've seen a few mentions here and there on the web myself.

As I look at the Windforce coolers, I...

Re: Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming Review

By stacking, you mean having 8GB useable when there are two 4GB cards running Crossfire or SLI?

That would be a good thing if it works right.

Re: Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming Review

I spent a little more on the 760s to make sure that they had 4GB of RAM on board. At this point, I'm not sure if I'll keep them or not. Wait and see what develops, I guess.

Re: Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming Review

    Good review.

I wonder if these GTX-960s are good enough to replace the two 4GB GTX-760s I have in SLI (not crossfire) from a ~bang for the buck~ perspective.

Yep, time to start pairing these up together, and in three's, for the ~real~ party-time!! Whoot! :thumbsupbig:

Probably so Sam, but it was free, and I'm using all of my spare cash on the X99 system that I'm putting together. I still need to buy a CPU for it and those are expensive as hell.

My 280s all perform really well. I'm tempted to put all three of them into my upcoming X99 build.

I have a pair of GTX-690s with full water blocks on the way in a few days.

It pissed me off that the board didn't have a BIOS installed that would run this CPU. Not having all four RAM slots to use really sucks too.

But overall, it's pretty darn robust. The Cougar fans...

I'm retiring an i7-870, a FX-8350, and a i7-2600K (CPU's and their boards) when all is said and done. The 2600K is going to go into my wife's office PC.

I'm not sure about the PSU's capabilities, but I have a 750W, and a 850W PSU "on the shelf" if I need them. Shelves are there for hoarding,....right?
