  1. Re: AMD FX series 8-core 5GHz overlcock problems ???

Are you using BIOS version 401?

AMD FX 8370 is not a 220W CPU, it's 125W, but you need the 401 BIOS to make it work properly.

Re: Unable to Update AMD GPU Driver.

    Here's another vote for DDU.
It really does clean all of the crap that old drivers leave behind on your system.
Using it has fixed GPU installation problems for me more than once.

Best way to fix it is to just send it to me for the three-year torture-test.

I hated it to begin with, but I'm more accepting of it now.
I like to keep it down to a low roar.
  9. Re: Far Cry 5 and Radeon CrossFireX Scaling Review

I use SLI and Crossfire too. I have been for a long, long time.
The only system I have without dual cards has a GTX-1080Ti in it. You could say that it doesn't need two cards, but I'd love to have...

    Nice looking board!
It almost makes me sorry that I just bought the ASUS ROG Maximus X Apex.
  12. Re: A Noctua Fan Overview 40mm to 200mm Varieties!

    Good review Brenden.
I too like Noctua fans Vinny. I have them put to good use in one of my builds.
All are 140mm except for the one on the bottom.

Sticky: Re: The Official I just "Got" Thread

    It's been a while.
Since my last post, I've built the i9-7900X box with the MSI X299 Gaming M7 ACK mainboard and 64-GB of DDR4-3000MHz RAM. There are two GTX-1080FE GPUs in it, running SLI.
    I...

Gold rated power supply is good if you buy a good brand.
Either motherboard that you mentioned will be good as long as you buy memory that is on that board's QVL. (see post #4 above)

Gold rated is good for a PSU.

Personally, I like ASUS over MSI, but my last CPU/Motherboard purchase was an i9-7900X and an MSI X299 Gaming M7 ACK.
The CPU was offered with this particular...
