Thumbs up Woot Woot! Upgraded a EVGA GTX 570 to a GTX 570 SSC/SC edition!!! All from a bios!!!

I just upgraded the bios on my EVGA GTX 570 standard edition to the SC/SSC edition bios... Went flawlessly! I got 1 error about the part #'s not matching but just let it bypass in nvflash. Then rebooted, and poof!!!! Installed drivers again just to ensure it was done right and then let her rip!!! I did it because I was pretty sure they were the same PCB/Parts on them and my card was already running hella cold @ 37c consistant idle and no more than 52c on load. (Standard Air Cooler).

I am not really thinking I need to post before and after because I never kept the benches before... but the now I see about a 5-10% boost in my games. It's quite nice and it seems the ssc version the framerates don't bounce so much... more consistant. I even went as far as overclocking and testing almost all day today... My final stable, fast overclocks are: 874/1748/2108 .988v . I can also run it stable at 900/1800/2000 @ 1.038v but it runs way hotter *around 61c idle, 72c 100% load... So I chose the quieter/lower voltage/faster vram clocks.
    (Thanks Hardwarecanucks! for that info!)

I am really happy and just thought I would share my story bro!!!

What benefit there is to this over just OCing the card as shipped?

    Higher voltage limit?

Not having to overclock if you choose, getting a free upgrade that you know is safe... and sharing my success story!
