at 4.5 the 5930 can do things the 3930 couldn't at 5.0....Just starting to stretch the Titan X a little...its only 700 less than the R9-295 I just took out at 4.5 and that has 2 290X's on it...not bad for a single GPU..I knew the X would be good...it's better than I thought...

I'm pushing the 5930K to 4.7 now..I believe you could run it at 4.7 all the time..it's smooth and temps are cool..Nothing like a custom water loop for the CPU...the Titan X runs about 150 points less than the AMD K9-295 which is 2/290's.....

You should be using the latest test for this. FireStrike is part of the latest testing software from 3DMark.

    Get It Here.

This is what my old i7-2600K does with a pair of R9-290X cards in it.

I pretty much run and post whatever I can score at the BOT with...I run most every test when looking at a video card. The Sapphire R9-295 with 2/290X's scored 18050. This is not bad for a single GPU

Good score. So you didn't like the Sapphire R9-295 card?

no, I liked the card...I reviewd it and ran it..It's why they sent it to me..well, I ran it and burned the results and sent them back..Basicly Asus wanted it ran on this Sabertooth x99...I know it probably looks like I'm a fanboy but I like AMD and Nvidia....Some of the older bench scores are still important to people running older games..AMD use to own them... I stopped getting stuff for awile...I have received 2 cards in the last month..You have to hand it to AMD though..I see that Nvidia has come out with a hybrid with the exact same sealed water loop as what I ran the other day that AMD came out with a year ago...It did work well..I never went over 55C on any bench at 4.6 and 4.5..I did get stutter in Vantage and a few other games with the AMD card...I haven't tried the new 390 yet but like I said, I like them both..Video cards are different now...years ago you had to clock them...now the highend stuff already kicks...I actually put the fan down at the bottom..it was a cool set-up..

I know this is the wrong place for all this...sorry...As far as single GPU, Nvidia's Titan X runs better and smoother than any I have run so far...BUT then again, I haven't run the 390...I still could see myself running the 295 no problem..actually, it was set to sell for 1500.00....I see you can still get them for 600..ish..it's a great deal....I never keep much so I sold it cheap..I kinda wish I had kept it...One thing is for sure..Nvidia copied there closed loop cooling for the 980ti and the X...I'll get this stuff in the right place..I just moved over to the 5930K....

the 295 out scored the Titan just by a few hundred on the new games but should with the 2 290X's on board...Everything under from Vantage down the Titan crushed it...even with it's single GPU

the Intel 750 you see sitting beside the 295 is one thing that is amazing..I'm sure all future MB's will have a slot for that SSD...it's like going from dial-up to high speed if you load it right

This is done with the 5960X at 4.5.....it beats all my scores...even at 5.0 on other CPU's...Those extra 2 cores really are something..The downside like all Haswell CPU's is temps..I use a custom water cooled loop and I am sure 4.7-4.8 will follow..
