Nice!! I haven't used the latest beta drivers yet. But I heard they are suppose to show a big improvement.. I may need to try it with the new drivers.

lol IKR! But I was talking the new rig. Dual R9 290s under water. The rig I build for the ThermalTake Urban T81 review. The 7950 rig have 4 7950s now and running as an alt coin miner at the moment. Can still play games on it if I needed to.

will test somewhere this week, with a I5 4670k at 4.8ghz and 2 x 290x, and with a I7 3820 and the 2 cards, lets see what we can do, just under aio watercooling.
and stock cooling for the cards.

sorry can not test crossfire, changed this card for the asus 290 dcii oc.
just because of the noise and temp, I have a reference now, and because I,m just gaming on 1920x1080 is the 290 more the enough, I rather have it cooler.

Get the 14.7 RC3 that is Mantle's best tweaking to date. The 14.4 has Mantle, but 14.7 is the latest one. (as of last night)

Here are some comparison numbers for you guys between the 2 drivers on the R9 290s.

    14.4 Drivers = Fire Strike 14303
    14.7 Drivers = Fire Strike 14560

    Post Your 3DMark (2013) Scores-firestrike-14.4.jpg VS Post Your 3DMark (2013) Scores-firestrike-14.7-drivers-r9-290.jpg

    14.4 SkyDive = 30333
    14.7 SkyDive = 33621

    Post Your 3DMark (2013) Scores-skydive-14.4.jpg VS Post Your 3DMark (2013) Scores-skydive-14.7-drivers-r9-290.jpg

The 14.7 Drivers gave the system a bit of a boost.
    Everything else was the same.

Now if AMD can get on the ball on getting some of this micro stutter fix with BF4 I will be a happy camper.
Also if they can fix the some of the crossfire scaling issues as well.

I have my cards under water with the XSPC blocks, here are some temps SS.

GPU Core maxed out at 51c
    VRMs at 57c and 43c.

When compared to running these cards with the stock XFX coolers, I hit 85c on the GPU and 90+ on the VRM which started to thermal throttle the cards.
The WB's knocked off 30+c in temps which leaves me plenty of room for overlocking later.

So anyone that has tried the newn AMD 14.7 drivers have issues with BSOD. Since I have updated to 14.7 drivers I have been getting BSOD for graphics driver related crashes. At least according to the minidump files and codes I have been getting.

I am going to uninstall and revert back to 14.4 and see if I continue to get this issue.

here are some of the known issues with 14.7 that I saw on AMD site.
    Known Issues
    • Running Watch Dogs with a R9 280X CrossFire configuration may result in the application running in CrossFire software compositing mode
    • Enabling Temporal SMAA in a CrossFire configuration when playing Watch Dogs will result in flickering
    • AMD CrossFire configurations with AMD Eyefinity enabled will see instability with BattleField 4 or Thief when running Mantle
    • Catalyst Install Manager text is covered by Express/Custom radio button text
    • Express Uninstall does not remove C:\Program Files\(AMD or ATI) folder
I run eyefinity with BF4 and that's what keeps crashing, so looks like I will have to revert back to 14.4 until they find a fix for this. Sucks, I was hoping to make use of the performance increase with BF4.

So, the 14.7 was good only for benchmarks (3D Mark).

    Always look beyond the limits...

Lolz, In other words, just don't use BETA drivers if you want your system to be stable. Esp. since it had known issues for eyefinity. But for those who are running 1080p may not run into this issue.
But just keep in mind that those are the only reported problems they know of, I am sure there is going to be other problems.

The thing that sucks is that the 14.4 Drivers have horrible scaling with BF4, its like playing on 1 card and the 2nd card is useless. The reason I say this is because my GTX780 runs better with the same monitor set up then both the 290s combined. The micro stutter is so bad that I can't even play correctly when in crossfire.
