It's a very close call, but the GTX690 still beats the GTX Titan in some games and benchmark programs. I own both, Two GTX 690s, and my 1st Titan should be here Tuesday, the 2nd card should arrive by the time my Corsair 900D gets delivered. In fact here's two photos of my 690s

Its interesting to what they have done with the titan but I still cant justify spending 1000 bucks on a single gpu card.

I understand that, but in my case, when your doing builds for sponsors, you can't take the cheap way out, especially when your asking other companies to help sponsor your builds.

Very close, but the GTX 690 having 2 CPU's, you can only have 2 way sli, but you can have 4 way sli with a Titan, which is far superior.

    690 is already 2way SLI. Add another 690 for 4way SLI/

With two GTX690s your running Quad SLI the only way to run quad SLI with the Titan, I believe is running four cards, plus, the only way the Titan is superior to the GTX690, is with ther amount of monitors and resolution. Believe me I did my homework before buying the 690s, after all it's not every day that I spend 2 grand on two GPUs lol

I have to agree with Stan here, and the only other benefit to the titan over a gtx690 is its size, the titan is going to fit into mid sized towers where as the 690 is going to be to big for most of them. Now who was it that said size doesn't matter?

But you can get a lot more performance running 4-way sli Titan compared to a 4-way sli 690. If you have 4 grand just lying around that's the way to go.

It's not enough of a gain to justify spending $4000 on 4 video cards, you could build one hell of a system for 4grand, stay tuned for my upcoming Corsair 900D build.

It today's modern day systems, for the avg. users 1 GTX690 or even 1 Titan is more then enough power to satisfy the users needs.
I think only benchmarkers are the ones that will take use of these cards in Multiple SLI applications, making the scoring high and trying to break records.

The avg. person won't even notice it that much IMO... Esp is normal every day apps.

Here is a good example, Even when I game on my systems. my single GTX670 performs great when I am gaming and doing my normal activities, my GTX670 SLI has a slight advantage for FPS by 10-20 frames depending on game, but not enough to make my single GTX670 performance even look bad... I still get like 75-100 FPS (depending on map) in 1920x1200 on my dell IPS in single monitor gaming with a single GTX670 on BF3. This is running everything in ultra as well.

However, the GTX690 and Titan are both super beefy cards. I guess if you have the money for it, why not... lolz
if I had to choose between the 2, I would get the GTX690

Kenny, I really wish you could stop by and game on my 30" with 2560 x 1600 Res and all the eye candy turned up on high with the 690s in Quad SLI, it would blow your mind, and show you what you have been missing lol
