Default Trying my hand at Sapphire HD 7770 with Heaven

Using MSI Afterburner (don't see how to take a screen shot) (and didn't think to log GPU-Z)

Core Voltage is set to auto scale.

    Power Limit +5
Core Clock (base 1100) set to 1200MHz
Memory Clock (base 1300) set to 1400MHZ
    Fan speed kept at auto
    Base score: 685
    Above settings: 746

    2nd try
    Limit 2
    Core 1150
    Memory 1350
    and fan still auto
    Score 715

Now my question is, are these settings to high/low, and while running Heaven it looked like for both setting that the card temp peaked at 65c and Core Temp max as 44c with an offset of 9c.

    Hey Carnyakam,
Sorry i missed this. The temps are fine, as for the settings they look good as well. Did heaven crash at all during your testing any errors? If not im not really sure what your trying to ask here.
To take a screenshot just press "Print" on your keyboard then open paint or something similar and paste the SS and save as jpg.

on both try's Heaven ran through just fine, my question i guess is, is try #1 too high of a setting, should i go more with setting of # 2 with a system on air, cause i don't want to cook my card or anything like that.

or what would be an ideal setting for a system that is on air, now i am aware that it won't really do much in the way of noticeable change in game play or anything like that, just trying to get some idea's as i am in the learning process still

There are a lot of variables when cooling on air. Your case, (looking at it on the web) seems to be designed for good airflow.

So if the card is running good with settings @ #1 then go for it.
You can get GPU-z and it will show what temps the card is running at too.

Yeah we took the panel's out on the top and put in 2 90's? in have 2 on the front one on the bottom next to the PSU and one at the back, and have 1 of the CPU cooler fans pointed at an angle to hit the RAM as well

Question; Why are you trying to OC it in the first place? Is the purpose for a gaming or do you just want to learn how to OC? Didnt even notice the case you had,ive got one sitting in another room! Like Neil said you 1st setting are a good all around for that card IMO. I wouldnt have the fan facing towards your ram, you want the hot air coming off your CPU to exit out of your case not blowing back in. It defeats the purpose and will make it run hotter. Point the fans either
A: Hot air exits out the top
B:Hot air exits out the rear

Neil is it past your bedtime?
Use HWMonitor to monitor temp for the CPU and GPU.

The pull fan for the CPU is angled toward the Ram, the Push fan is going out the back, and i am doing this just to learn how to do it.

Test one, for some reason it went Windowed

    Test 2 Full Screen

So both fans are blowing in different direction? The basic test always runs in windowed mode, like you've seen you have to use custom. Those are not bad scores for your card!!
