Re: New Girl on the Block
What do you want to do with it? Do you want to game? Web browse/office applications? Or are you going to be doing graphics work with it? Its hard to base a build off of only a price range if you dont know if it needs to have a large amount of RAM, or if it needs to be graphics heavy or processor heavy.
Re: New Girl on the Block
I want to play games with him and talk the computer talk with him. He plays Battlefield, Far Cry, Infinite, League of Legends, WOW, and Counter Strike. Just to name a few. I don't want him to know I am going to do this. I am going to ship all the parts to my parents house build it and bring it home.
Re: New Girl on the Block
When he starts talking computer talk I have no clue as to what he is talking about. I do hair and makeup for a living and he has listened to me talk enough about that stuff that he understands what I am talking about. I just want to return the favor. The games look fun and if I started playing them it would just make our relationship that much better and I wouldn't feel so silly when he says something about them
Re: New Girl on the Block
Re: New Girl on the Block
This will play all these games? He buys new things like every couple months.
Re: New Girl on the Block
Does anyone have any used stuff?
Re: New Girl on the Block
that setup will not play all the games on ultra, but i sense thats not really what you're going for :)...so yes it will easily play those games
Re: New Girl on the Block
Hello & Welcome!
Doctor_Death I'm sure can help you out with computer parts, he is the Admin here at PureOC. :thumbsupbig:
Have fun with your new build.
Re: New Girl on the Block
How hard is it going to be to put this together? I've watched him take apart and put together a bunch of them and it looks like you just snap them together. Is there anything else I am going to need? I think there are enough headphones, keyboards, and screens in the house for me to use.
Re: New Girl on the Block
That parts list should play all of those titles probably all on ultra actually. The 7870 is a great little card for the price. But I agree with Steve, Doctor_Death helps out a lot of people with parts! I priced out those parts so you wouldnt have to upgrade your processor for a while and your graphics card would be the main thing you would have to upgrade. You do need to upgrade parts every once in a while, thats just how the world of gaming works.

Computers are quite easy to put together! I would look around online for how to guides. I know Newegg has a good one, but they are all over the place! Just do a quick google search and you will find everything you need! If you have any problems of course, you can always come back here, this community is very helpful :)
Re: New Girl on the Block
I think he is going to be really excited. I wanted to use his old computer but he sold it to buy some things for the new one he just built. I know he uses GTX things and i7 computer
Re: New Girl on the Block
WELCOME TO PUREOC :toast: Now I know Stan {Dr Death} Has some part's you can get at a good deal. So give him a PM.
Re: New Girl on the Block
Nvidia and Intel are great, but they are a lot more expensive. AMD does a great job for the price and the 7000 series graphics cards are great performers. GTX and i7 series are really amazing performers, but they are more expensive. There is just a whole trade off system between them lol
Re: New Girl on the Block
