G'Day guys,
building my first PC in a long time, so I've gone a bit ott, heres the specs first -
TT level 10 Battle edition case
Asus Rampage Extreme Motherboard
TT Water 2.0 Extreme
Seasonic 1050w 80 + PSU
32 GB Kingston 2400 Hyper X Ram
Kingston Hyper X Ram coolers
128GB OCZ Vector SSD
Pioneer 208ebk blu ray burner
TT Card reader
12cm TT Thinderblade fan.
This is how far I've come, I'll be labeling cables and taking it apart again after I've finished the initial fitout
I'm not so keen on the RAM coolers, they don't fit perfectly, and take up a bit too much space.

You don't know me and that's the way i like it!

Ram coolers are just a gimmick. Ram will survive some high temps without issue, as long as the case has some airflow. Worry more about your VRegs.
Actually need the card reader?

Yeah, I do need the card reader unfortunately, it's the best way to bring my work home.
I doubt I'll use the RAM coolers, they just seem to be blocking airflow to me.

Shane, earths right, memory no longer gets hot enough to need ram fans, especially with X79 and Z77 platforms, but if you do not have good air flow in your case, and it tends to heat up, then the Ram fans are not a bad idea. I actually received two Black HyperX fans with my 64GB HyperX Beast 2133MHz kit, and I have yet to use them. I did check the temps on all 8 modules with a infared laser thermometer, and temps ranged from 33c-36c.

What chip are you using? I love the build.

noticing the grid hole pattern in the case.
i have that on mine also, i used adhesive sheet magnets on the inside, held on with neodium magnets to seal off all air flow not completly controled by my fans.
one fan in the front pulling through a hepa filter cut from a house furnace filter , 4 fans out
learning is good .....understanding is better .....pleas teach with wisdom............................................ ..............calemus

I've installed my cpu (3820), cooler, Video Card (GTX670) and given the RAM fans the flick. Now for the easy part, cabling.

I was, but I'll just get it all done, tidy and labled, then see where I go
I have to learn a lot more about water cooling, and try to get my temps down in preperation for summer.

As far as water cooling, do you plan on going with a AIO system, or custom water ?
