I have finally finished a labor of love that has taken over 8 months of holidays, weekends, and many many nights of work. I was fortunate enough to have “Frank” to a finish point where I took him to Quakecon 2013 and entered this rig into the Case Mod contest which eventually took first place. Please check out “Frank” in the CPU Quakecon coverage in the October edition.
For your viewing pleasure, I give you Frank N SteinPC

Thanks it was a long road to get here but I think the end result was worth it
Thanks so much – I am sure one day you will if you continue to hold that desire and focus, you too will find a way to build your own beast.
Awesome – thanks so much for following this build and I hope the many more I have planned will not disappoint compared to this massive beast, though not all rigs can be this massive, each rig in its own right I hope to make a piece of functional art. So thanks for following along on FB – mod on bro
Lol - this is Frank N SteinPC (“Frank”) – not MonsterPC (Harry) – I know you are not the first to get us mixed up because of the “monster” reference in “Frank N Stein” and the massive rigs, but its all good. I have been a long time lurker on these forums, but thanks for the welcome
8 months of total dedication and love went into this build – yes. I know there is more detail missed than seen when looking at everything that went into this case and system build. There are times I will look at Frank and go “Oh wow, I forgot I did that” – if that gives you any indication of the layers of modding that went on.thanks so much for your comment and feedback.
Sleeving is Lutro0 Customs Coreless Paracord (Imperial Red, Charcoal, Black). Yeah it was a treat to work with that special coreless paracord. Total fans = 41, yeah there is some air moving but when I run all fans at ˝ speed, its relatively quiet considering how much air is moving and the cooling taking place. I can run everything <50% and still basically maintain ~3-5c of ambient even when I game for hours. So yeah, love the fans, I was very fortunate to be able to acquire 9x of the Bitfenix Spectre Pro Red LED Fans as well for that wall of red you see. Those are the 120mm Spectre Pro fans and they look rather nice on that MORA3 I think![]()

I've used the Koolance quick disconnect, and was impressed with them, I'm going to have to order a couple for the 900D custom build.
