Default Future Gamer Building with Dad

This isn't really a build log but I wanted to post it anyways. For my daughters 11th Birthday she received a Coupon to "BYOPC With Dad". She have a system she has been using but it isn't up to gaming standards by any means. The r7 240 was meant for the HTPC but she wanted to play Minecraft and Plants VS Zombie Garden Warfare so it got installed in a office type pc. It got the job done for the last few months. Now it is time for her to get her own rig like her big sister.

Parts on hand, a review item and our friends at Bitfenix all lined up perfectly without effort. It turned into a review/B-Day gift! Strange how things happen. Thank you Bitfenix for the Prodigy M Color and the green spectre pro fans. She loves the green!

Get to work brat!! We had to use the coffee table because my lab is maxed out at the moment. Way too much going on to add another build in there. She may have gotten lost in the boxes. She started off my removing the side panels, HDD mount, box of screws and Pcie bracket.

Explaining how the parts work by comparing them to the Human body is a great move for those looking to teach others that are not into tech as much as we are. CPU= Brain Board= Nervous System\Spinal Column Cooling= respiratory system Power/PSU= Circuitry System\Heart Case= Skin\Skeletal System Ram= Short term memory HDD/SDD= Long term memory. No digestive system as our systems are not supposed to take a crap on us!

Final Pics will be seen next week in a "Green" review! Happy 11th! Will see you on the battlefield!!! My 2 girls and I play Plants vs Zombies GW, A big thanks goes out the Ed at Sapphire for making that happen. He gave my daughter 3 game keys for her B-Day. If you have never played GW you should check it out. Will be back next week to add more pics!

Just noticed the pics were duplicated some how. Corrected with 2 other pics.

Yeah Jim I am bringing them in PC gaming with the rest of us. Hoping to bring them to LANOC and Nexus LAN early next year.

She stayed up pretty late to get her system done so she could us it today. Turned out even better than I had hoped for. She is using it right now to play Minecraft with her friends. She is kicking their arses. So proud!

Thanks Vin. I am truely blessed. I didn't get to have a boy but it worked out in my favor anyways. I have 3 of the best girls a father could ask for. Smart, funny, beautiful, creative and they all LOVE TECH! Not like I can use my Ipod tech I mean getting into what I do love of tech. My oldest can name every part in a PC on sight and knows the function of each. Hardcore Console and PC gamer. They are girl like but will turn beat your arse rough if you mess with one of them. They are like me in so many ways it is crazy. At the same time so different.

Happy bday to your lil' girl, Sandy! It's always nice to see how much they enjoy stuff like that, too. I wish my 10-yr-old son would get his nose out of video games long enough to give a crap about building a PC, lol. That looks like a pretty sweet bday gift as well, grats to her!

(four boys and three girls here between my Wife and I)

My two oldest (Network Admin & Housewife) are into building PCs, and my youngest is into ~using~ them for scientific research. He is working with NASA helping to design the colony that will be on Mars someday.

Her two oldest boys are a Doctor , and an Air Force Chaplain. Her youngest child, a daughter, is a homemaker and works in a Bakery. All of them seem to be healthy and happy and that's what counts.

Sounds like you and the wife did a great job raising them. All seem to be doing well in life. For that you and the wife gets PureOverclock's award!

I bet the 3 girls drove you bunkers as well. I had to move to another house so I could have my own bathroom. Couldn't take it anymore. Girl stuff everywhere. No matter if it was 3am one of them would need the bathroom as well. GRRRR!! Now I have my Master on suite and my own walk in closet!! (it is full of PC parts now)

    LOL! girl clutter.

My youngest son was into reptiles while he lived with us. He had several Fish Aquariums with snakes and lizards inside of them. He had to go to a week-long camp with the Boy Scouts once, and my wife agreed to feed everything twice while he was gone.
The first (and only) time that she went into the room to feed, one of the snakes started Rattling at her. It turned out to be a 3Ft. Western Diamondback Rattlesnake and she went nuts. Needless to say that I'm the one who had to do the rest of the feeding after that.

When he got home, we took it out and released it in the desert.

I agree. She probably had a blast building it, and will appreciate it more too. Knowledge is power and being able to work on PCs is a really good thing for people to know.

Sounds like he's on the way to a good and interesting life. You , like Sandy, sound like a proud Poppa.
