My preference is for good musicianship ..do you remember when bands used to play their own music??
That usually means that I play a lot of older stuff like weather report, steely dan, al di meola and chick corea. That said, I do listen to some of the more interesting club tunes and although I doubt I will remember will-i-am in ten years I can put up with that sort of thing now.
